The Dutch Caribbean islands possess well developed, state of the art, telecommunication infrastructures. From fiber optic cables, redundancy by means of multiple submarine cable entries, LTE data services, to a Tier IV data center and E-commerce Park in CuraƧao, the Dutch Caribbean islands have it all.
Our lawyers have been at the forefront of many regulatory proceedings regarding the requests for telecommunication licenses, new telecommunication products, the utilization of frequencies and payment thereof, and the utilization of telecommunication network elements based in other countries. Our Lawyers have also advised on placing submarine telecommunication cables in territorial waters of Aruba and on building a landing station in connection therewith.
AMDC Law additionally advises and assists telecommunication clients with their transactions, financing and (re)structuring. We also assist telecommunication companies with operational matters such as employment and contracts. As part of the latter we provide debt collection services to a sizable telecommunication company in Aruba, for the collection of a large number of claims.
